The Imperial Hotel would be delighted to host both your civil ceremony and your reception. Our dedicated team has been witness to some truly amazing unions throughout the years, and would be happy to help you create unforgettable memories.
What to do before saying ‘I do’
Before your civil ceremony, make sure to contact the Registrar of Civil Marriages. They require all couples to attend an appointment to register their civil ceremony, at least three months before it takes place. They can advise on available dates, both for this appointment and for your civil ceremony.
The Imperial Hotel is one of the premier civil ceremony venues Cork has to offer, and as such has a dedicated contact. Her name is Gina Carroll, of The Civil Registration Office, Southern Area, Adelaide Court, Adelaide Street, Cork. She can be reached by calling 021 4275126.
We have a range of venue options for your vows
Our Morgan & Plunkett Suite are among the finest venue for civil ceremonies Cork has to offer. Bedecked in soft, subtle furnishings, this amazing room provides an elegant backdrop for your union. Seating can be arranged in a number of ways in these suites, depending on your guest numbers. Luxurious chair covers will be provided and a red carpet will mark the way to happily ever after.
If your celebration requires a larger space, we also have an opulent ballroom. Decorated with crystal chandeliers and luxurious fabrics, this is the perfect space to have your first dance after saying ‘I do’.
In addition to having a range of venue options, we also offer four dedicated wedding packages. These can be customised to include a civil ceremony, and tailored to suit each individual couple.
Couples no longer need to live in the district of their civil ceremony
There is no longer a requirement to live in the district where you wish to get married. Once your civil marriage ceremony is approved by the Registrar of Civil Marriages, you are able to marry wherever you choose to celebrate. This means happy couples travelling from all over Ireland and the World are able celebrate their union in The Imperial Hotel, Cork.
