Ennis Guided Walks Tours run May to September leaving from the Ennis Tourist Office at 11:00am daily except Wednesday and Sunday. Group and private bookings are available year round. Tel 087 6483714. Learn about the mythology and legends of the town including Biddy Early, the magical lady of Clare who was tried for witchcraft in Ennis. Hear tales of famine and poverty, murders and hangings, rebellions and riots and discover how the most powerful men from Irelands past including Daniel O’Connell, Eamon de Valera and Charles Stewart Parnell were closely linked to the town.

Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival  -  1st September to 1st October

Annual event with country music daily & nightly  Ireland’s only traditional matchmaking festival held every September in the villageof Lisdoonvarna. Dancing takes place invenues all over town with third generation
matchmaker Willie Daly on hand to bring hopeful singles together

Based on Shakespeare's tale of the star-crossed lovers, Romeo & Juliet is one of the greatest love stories of all time. Against a backdrop of ancient feuds and gang warfare, the ill-fated young couple falls hopelessly in love, but their families are bitter enemies. In order to be together the two lovers must be prepared to risk everything.  In Ballet Ireland's production, Shakespeare's tragic tale is transported from the streets of medieval Verona into the classrooms of a modern-day high school. It becomes a play within a play.

One of Ireland's most popular "Country' singers Mike Denver has once again had a recent sell-out nationwide Tour with full houses' at concert venues North and South.  The 'Galway Boy' is getting more popular as each year passes. Mike has already built up a huge following on the Irish Circuit and has achieved 14 hit Albums and 10 best-selling DVD's. A new DVD has just been released and is now on sale at all his shows. Mike's show is an excellent mix of Mike Denver hits, country classics and middle of the road hits. With his excellent Band and a super stage show this promises to be another terrific concert.
