One of Ireland's most popular "Country' singers Mike Denver has once again had a recent sell-out nationwide Tour with full houses' at concert venues North and South.  The 'Galway Boy' is getting more popular as each year passes. Mike has already built up a huge following on the Irish Circuit and has achieved 14 hit Albums and 10 best-selling DVD's. A new DVD has just been released and is now on sale at all his shows. Mike's show is an excellent mix of Mike Denver hits, country classics and middle of the road hits. With his excellent Band and a super stage show this promises to be another terrific concert.

Merriman Winter School - The 50th consecutive Scoil Gheimhridh Merriman will be held in Ennis, 26th-28th January 2018. The Old Ground Hotel will be the main venue for the school. The first ever Scoil Gheimhridh Merriman was held in Nenagh in 1969. The programme on the theme ‘Filí éireann go hAonteach’ was an unforgettable gathering of the cream of writers in Ireland at the time

Concertina Cruinniu - 9th - 11th February Annual weekend of concertina classes, lectures and concerts held in Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare. The word Cruinniú means ‘gathering’ and that’s what this is, a gathering of musicians who love the instrument and those who love hearing them make music on it. Russell memorial Weekend - Doolin 21st - 26th February The annual traditional festival held in Doolin falling on the last full weekend in February is a remembrance ceremony to the Russell family, Micho Packie and Gussie Russell, the world-famous traditional musicians.

Corofin Trad Festival - 26th February to 4th March  will be heading for it’s 17th year. It is a week jam packed with concerts, sessions and workshops. West Clare Drama Festival - 10th to 19th March  -  Established in 1962 to foster, encourage and acknowledge the efforts of amateur drama groups in rural Ireland, the West Clare Drama Festival in Doonbeg continues to grow from strength to strength to becoming the 10 night festival it is today.  For further info log on to www.westclaredramafestival.com    Full length plays by Irish and international writers are performed by amateur groups from all around the country, as well as local groups,

Stephen Roche Atlantic Cycle - 24th March from Ennistymon.  This cycle is Ireland’s most popular cycle. It is an opportunity to cycle the most scenic route in Ireland with legend cyclists Stephen Roche, Sean Kelly and other guests.  In 2017, over 3,000 cyclists from 24 countries cycled with the 1987 Giro d’Italia, Tour de France and World Champion winner, Stephen Roche and legend cyclist Sean Kelly.  Described by lonely planet as the 5th best cycling route in the world, the cycle starts and finishes in Ennistymon, Co Clare, Ireland. The scenic cycle route along the Wild Atlantic Way coastline, the Burren, Lahinch Beach, the famous Cliffs of Moher and Corkscrew Hill, this cycle has it all.

Blossom Harp Festival - 23rd to 25th March - Tuamgraney - The Blossom Harp Festival Weekend in Tuamgraney, Co. Clare takes place on Palm Sunday Weekend each year. Its an enjoyable weekend of dance and music for all the family with Harp, Fiddle & Set dancing workshops, a Harp-makers Exhibiton, Sessions, Concert, Ceilí & a Musical Historical walk. Clare Garden Festival 29th April - Clare Garden Festival is a treat for Gardeners and a great day out for all the family. Taking place annually on the last Sunday in April, the festival runs at Ennis Showgrounds with a hugh graden, plant and food market of 70+ stalls. Burren College of Art Postgraduate Show 14th to 27th April  -  Visit an exhibition featuring work by BCA MFA students in the Gallery at the Burren College of Art.  The exhibition title, CO – LATERAL, refers to three approaches to self reflection and expression.  Coming from divergent points of view in photography and painting, the exhibit explores imagination and innovation in the studio practice of postgraduates Angel Cray (MA), Sherry Erskine (MFA), and Kizito Joan Nanfuka (MFA). for more info logon to www.burrencollege.ie  

Kilfenora Traditional Music Weekend 27th to 30th April one of Ireland’s most famous music locations stages it annual traditional music festival.  As always, there will be concerts, set-dancing in the home of Irish céilí and the legendary Kilfenora pub sessions.  More details of concerts and sessions can be viewed on the festival website www.kilfenoraclare.com

Burren Slow Food Festival 11th - 13th May 2018    The Burren Slow Food Festival will take place in Lisdoonvarna. There will be talks, cookery demos and events which will focus on the delicious edibles that the sea and the land around us produce.  A Farmers Market will bring you homemade delicacies from Clare and other parts of Ireland, and even from small farms in Italy!
